Casserole or 10 x 6 x 2 baking dish | |||
| OLD FASHION RICE PUDDING | ||||
| 2 | | Milk | > | Bring to a boil, then cover tightly, reduce heat to very low. Cook 15 min. or until rice is tender. | |
| ½ | C | Long Grain Rice (raw) | ||
| ½ | C | Raisins | ||
| ¼ | C | Butter | > | Add butter to rice. |
| 3 | Eggs (Beaten) | > | Combine in bowl or Casserole. Gradually add rice mixture to egg mixture. | |
| 2 | C | Milk | ||
| ½ | C | Sugar | ||
| 1 | t | Vanilla | ||
| ½ | t | Salt | ||
| Cinnamon & Nutmeg | > | Added ½ way through baking. | ||
| Whipping Cream (for serving) | > | Serve with whipping cream drizzled over top. | ||
| Pour into 10 x 6 x 2 pan or a baking dish. Bake 30 minutes. Stir well. Sprinkle with Cinnamon and Nutmeg. Bake another 15 to 20 min. OR until knife inserted in center comes out clean. | ||||
