| This clay can be rolled very thin. To make Christmas Ornaments or beads, follow instructions for baking under Microwave Art Dough. | ||||
| For Multi-color divide dough and add color while kneading. | ||||
| 1 | lb | (box) Baking Soda | > | Mix together. |
| 1 | C | Corn Starch | ||
| 1 ¼ | C | Water | ||
| Optional: | ||||
| Food Color | > | Add while kneading. (if desired) or to water before combining. | ||
| Microwave on high 4-6 min., stirring every 2 min. until mixture looks like mashed potatoes and pulls away from sides of bowl. Cool on flat plate, covered with a damp cloth. When cool — knead on surface dusted with cornstarch until smooth and pliable. | ||||
| For bright colors, mold and harden in microwave or air dry, then paint with water colors or poster colors. To preserve shapes: coat with varnish, shellac or liquid plastic. | ||||
| Use immediately or store in plastic bag 1-2 weeks. | ||||
